The Lunar Mist Metallic exterior finish shows well for the age of this Taco. It cleans up well, but does have imperfections including scuffs and scratches on most panels, some subtle dents, segments of touch-up paint and rock chips scattered throughout the lower portions of the hood.
All factory glass, lights and mirrors are intact, free from cracks and functional. The color matched bumpers show well and the fender flares are fully fastened to the body. The color matched Jeraco cap is very functional and includes a Thule bolt on foot kit with extra wide aluminum crossbars. The windows in the cap slide with ease, however the inner screens do have some tears.
The interior is fitted with Toyota’s Limited cloth seating with driver’s side lumbar support. The seats are in very good condition and show minimal wear. Scuffs and scratches can be found on both door panels as well as in the rear seating area. Staining is minimal and there are no foul smells within the cabin.
Factory interior electronics all work including power windows, power locks, rear differential locker, lighting, CD/Radio/Tape deck, cold A/C and hot heat. The power mirrors also work as intended as do both key fobs.
The chassis and engine bay are completely sorted and remain in very nice shape. The frame was replaced in 2016 and has held up well. The timing belt was done at just over 100k miles and is due for replacement at 190k miles.
Second generation Tacoma wheels were installed by the previous owner. The wheels show well, however, they do have pitting and some peel/corrosion present. The center caps are free from cracks and all four are present.
This Tacoma runs and drives excellent. In addition to the stacks of maintenance records, the following maintenance and repairs were performed in the last 200 miles:
With just over 176k miles, this 2002 Toyota Tacoma Limited TRD Off-road 4WD is ready for camping, mountain biking, snowboarding, surfing, trail riding or whatever else you can throw at it.
