This F350 was originally purchased in 1998 in Jackson, WY and remained there until February of 2008. The second owner transplanted this Super Duty to Tetonia, ID at 113,735 miles where it remained until July of 2019. Over the past 20 years, this truck has been driven just over 161,000 miles and meticulously maintained.
The exterior is in remarkable condition for the year. The Light Prairie Tan Metallic finish holds its shine and is free from rust, rot and really any corrosion. The only spot of clear coat peel can be found on the top, left fender. It also appears this fender has been touched up a one point down the road. Other minor imperfections include light scratches, small dings and miscellaneous scuffs. All seams, rockers and cab corners are full intact with absolutely no traces of rust or body repair.
Also fitted atop the 8-foot bed is a color-matched SnugTop Sport Hi-Liner cap with sliding rear windows, tinted glass and functional overhead light. This is the hightop model allowing more headroom when working in the bed of the truck. The cap is in great shape and also has rack mounting points on the top.
The interior is in near perfect shape. The tan cloth interior is in excellent shape. There are no rips, tears or major staining to be found. Both front and back seating look nearly new with negligible wear. The carpet is covered with custom Husky Liners in the front of the cab and the rear currently does not have any floor mat, but the carpet remains clean and has seen very little traction. The headliner has some slight wear and a small sag above the driver’s sun visor.
Factory interior electronics function as intended including ice cold A/C and multi-position power seats. The keyless entry FOBs work as well. This F350 is also equipped with electronic brake assist and Firestone air suspension system with compressor, which functions flawlessly. An inline PacBrake Exhaust Brake System is installed as well, which functions as intended.
Mechanically, this F350 XLT runs and drives very well. Cold and warm startup occur without exhaust smoke or blow-by of any kind. There are no lags during idle or during drive-time and shifting is strong and on-point. The manual, floor shift transfer case engages in 2H, 4H and 4L without any issues and the manual locking hubs easily engage and disengage.
The chassis and floors are very clean. All frame rails and undercarriage structural components have been thoroughly undercoated by the previous owner preventing any rot or rust issues. The inner rockers are solid as are the bed rails. There isn’t a single area of concern under this Super Duty.
The Alcoa aluminum wheels are in nice shape and wrapped with brand new tires. The only spots of corrosion on the wheels are where old wheel weights resided from previous tire balances. Currently, the tires are balanced and both the front and rear are in alignment.
Recent maintenance includes fuel filter, air filter and an oil filter/oil change. The transmission has clean fluid and serviced by Transco Transmissions. The front and rear disc brakes grip well with no skaking whatsoever. This F350 also just passed Maine’s safety and emissions inspection about 200 miles ago.
