2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR – SOLD

Street & Track Ready Evo X


Here is a modified, 10th Generation Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR with just over 17,000 miles.  This particular Evo X is finished in Apex Silver over a deep black cloth interior with Recaro front seats.  


Various factory add-ons were installed from new including Mitsubishi’s “Sight, Sound and Spoiler Package.” There’s a lot to talk about with this particular Evo X, so we’ll just work from the outside and work  our way in and then under.

The exterior Apex Silver is in very good condition.  The clear is still intact and shows well. There are some rock chips on the lower front bumper, just above the lower spoiler as well as some minor chipping directly on the nose of the Evo.  There is also a scuff on the lower portion of the hood. None of the chips are beyond primer and from most angles, they are hard to see. The stock Enkei 18x8.5 wheels are in excellent shape with no signs of curb rash and the Michelin X-Ice X13 tires are nearly new.

In addition to the Spoiler Package, other factory installed exterior options include Side Spoilers located below the front and rear doors, Carbon Fiber Front Spoiler and Rear Corner Extensions.  All of these upgrades are in fantastic shape and fully intact with no cracking.

The “Sight” upgrade to this Evo is comprised of Xenon HID headlamps with manual leveling, which work flawlessly.  The manual dial adjustment operates smoothly and the headlamps themselves are remarkably bright.  All marker lights, tail lights, reverse lights and brake lights work as they should.

The glass in this Evo was professionally tinted with SunTek Window Films and is compliant with the State of Maine standards, which allows for a light transmittance reading of 35%.  A certificate stating this information comes with the Evo.

The interior of this Evo X is in excellent condition.  The Recaro seats are free from rips, stains or any other discolorations and have very little wear.  All seat adjustments work perfectly. The rear seating is also in near perfect condition as well as the Lancer Evolution embroidered factory floor mats.  The headliner is free from stains, rips and tears as are the sun visors.

Factory interior electronics include power windows and locks, functioning heat and air conditioning, FAST-Key electronic entry and starting system, as well as the “Sound” upgrade: 750-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system with 10” Subwoofer and in-dash 6-disc CD changer with Sirius Satellite Radio.  An auxiliary input via ⅛” audio jack is also available for external audio connection.

Factory interior upgrades include a Lancer Evolution Aluminum Shift Knob with gearbox diagram as well as a Leather and Aluminum Side Brake Grip.

Aftermarket interior upgrades include a COBB Tuning Stage 3 Accessport mated to this specific Evo X with ProClip.  AEM digital/analog gauges with integrated housing were installed for Air/Fuel Ratio, Boost, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature.  All gauges are in fantastic condition and operate as they should.

The chassis under this Evo is in very good condition with no signs of corrosion or leaks.  Both the front and rear differential are free from deficiencies. A SSP 2 Piece Aluminum Undertray with access panels was installed adding extra protection to the underside of the engine, front differential, transfer case and many other components.

The transfer case received an Evo X Stage 3 T-Case Build by Jack’s Transmissions in Colorado.  This build was complete in January 2018 and documentation with warranty information is included with the car.  This particular build includes:

  • Ring and Pinion Gear Set - Treated (Custom Made for Jacks Trans)
  • Seals and O-Rings (excludes ACD Piston Seals)
  • Pinion Bearings
  • Tighter Bearing Preloads (Prevents Gear Breakage and Wear)
  • Modified ACD Clutches (15 of them) to give you more center diff LSD action
  • Pressure Testing ACD Assembly (checks to ensure piston seals are healthy and fluids do not mix)
  • Fill / Drain Plug Washers
  • Designed for street and track use

Under the hood where the powerful 4B11T 2.0L (1998cc) turbocharged, all-aluminium inline-4 GEMA engine lays, many aesthetic and performance modifications were performed to safely and effectively run a mapped Stage 3 Tune.  Some of the more prominent modifications are:

This Evo X drives very well under normal and accelerated conditions.  It’s very smooth and responsive with polished shifts and minimal turbo lag.  Braking is incredibly responsive thanks to the Brembo set-up.

Upon the Amsoil oil and filter change as well as overall system testing, more logged data will be available once I run a couple logs via the Accessport using both the Stage 2 and 3 Maps.  An included Dyno sheet has the AWHP at about 420 hp. Currently, peak torque has been around 451 ftlb. More test data to follow.
